BUSINESS COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY 

LEVEL I

 

BUSINESS COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY (6400) is designed to provide hands-on instruction in basic computer hardware components and software applications. Emphasis is placed on extending and reinforcing touch keyboarding skills while providing experience for learning word processing, databases, spreadsheets, telecommunications ,ethics, multimedia applications and graphics. Communication skills and basic mathematical concepts are reinforced in this course.

At the end of this course, student will complete a comprehensive test, VOCATS (Vocational Achievement Tracking System) Assessment.

The combination of Keyboarding and Business Computer Technology can provide middle school students with the skills needed to become productive citizens in the twenty-first century. Enrollment in these courses greatly assist students with preparation for the 8th grade Computer Skills Test.
